I thought going into this that it would just be a quick insta-love relationship story. A quick escape that filled a void until another book could give me a book hangover. Nothing wrong with those, but this book was so much more than that. It had substance. It had me feeling, and loving the characters and the obstacles of trying to meld two different worlds. The connection between Camilla and Dominic were a joy to watch unfold as they both struggled with trying to find the balance. Their banter was delightful. I loved the family dynamic and secondary characters. I really liked the connection between Camilla and her sister or with Nate and Ryder. (I hope that Nate gets his HEA hint hint). I loved this whole family. Looking forward to the next series spinoff. I have to be honest. I thought going into this that it would just be a quick insta-love relationship story. Cam is sweet yet fiesty and Dom is tough yet adorable. She helps him trust that someone truly loves and cares for him. He helps her to find her own voice while remaining close with her (over)protective brothers. I love that all the Landrys play a significant part in the story. They're not just thrown in to say everyone was included. A loose end from one of the previous books is tied up in true quirky satisfying Landry style. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

I'm that guy.Camilla Landry rustles against me, the silky fabric of her overpriced lingerie slipping along my bruised rib. The porcelain perfection of her skin is even more innocent against the colorful ink dotting my own. It's demure meets damaged, pampered meets punctured. So, yeah, it's obvious I'm that guy. Dominic Hughes. Her attempt at rebellion. Her bid to see what the other side of the tracks feel like. I'm okay with being used because, from where I'm sitting, the other side of the tracks have never looked so good. A contemporary romance standalone. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

Swink is definitely one of those books you could series hop. Not that I condone that type of behavior. But truly it doesn't cover relationships introduced in previous books that would lend confusion. The author picks up with the budding of the relationship between Cam and Dom. Ms. Locke gives just enough back telling for how they found each other. There is some overlapping family dynamic tension that again, Ms Locke weaves back through without getting bogged down. Although I say 'budding', really the main characters have been doing the 'casual' for about 10 months. Each playing at this is just 'casual'. However, when they finally face facts this isn't casual and need to address the many elephants in the room, the relationship turns serious.
The book was entertaining and as a fan of the series completely enjoyed the read. Bring on the Gibson Boys! 4 out of 5 stars
