When one of the galaxy’s greatest multispecies chefs, it would say the greatest, comes to Sector General because it needs a challenge, it finds that outside the kitchen it is just a clumsy six-legged rookie. Disaster pile up around it, though it means well and has a good couple of hearts. Eventually, it is exiled to the ambulance ship where it must try to save a planet full of carnivores to eat vegetables. I would not make this your first Sector General novel, but if you have read one or two of the others, this one will not offer any stumbling blocks.
