Summary: In this story there was a mermaid who was amazed with human life. She wanted be like humanbeing with legs and fall in love. One day while collecting her human keep sakes she came across a young man who she fall in love with. Her father had forbidden her to stay away from the open sea and human being. She was overtaen by her interet in human that she diobeyed her father's order. In turn she made a deal with her fathers enemy which cause them everything. Then her love for the human is what saved her and her father from being completely over taking. In the end the mermaid got the life life that she so longed for.

My thoughts: I love the disney syories and they are so well organized. I loved how in the end the very thing that the mermaid wanted she got it. She was able to be herself and prove that mine something are worth being determine for.

In class Ext. Child could use this book in class to build their imganation as a learn a little about following rules. They could learn that some thing are for the best
