This book made me cry like a baby when Jemmie took Rowan away. In my view that makes it a good book, because it reached me on an emotional level. I was also filled with outrage over the actions of India's family, I doubt I would have ever been able to forgive them. Few books reach me on an emotional level, and yes, this is a bodice ripper and has lot's of purple prose, it's good, and I'm glad I decided to read it as part of my current harem obsession. ( )
