![]() Cap No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I'm not much into comics or superheroes, but I bought this on a friend's recommendation and enjoyed it. Vision, a Marvel Avenger android superhero and his android wife and kids try to live normal lives in suburban Washington, D.C. The 12 comics in the collection raise a lot of intriguing psychological and philosophical questions. Things get disturbing when characters have to choose between serving their family and serving society. I was a little confused by the interaction with other Avenger superheroes since I don't follow their stories, but I got the gist. ( ![]() This was a re-read and a buddy read with Grim over at Booklikes. It was just as good this time as it was the first. All the stars! I read the first half of Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta's run on The Vision when it was a finalist for the Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story, and I loved it (it got my first place vote in that category... even though it came in sixth), so I knew that once a hard copy collection of the whole run was out, I would pick it up. The Vision is a well-done comic, a meditation on both family and man's inhumanity to man told in the form of superpowered robots moving to the suburbs. Its power rests in its stark simplicity-- much like the power of its central character. Both narration and art are very matter-of-fact about violence; horrific things being related in unemotional terms. It's a solid piece of comics, really well put together, showing the power of the genre of superhero comics when you pluck at the strangeness of its edges. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

A super hero story like no other. He was created to kill the Avengers - but he turned against his 'father.' He found a home among Earth's Mightiest Heroes, and love in the arms of the Scarlet Witch. It didn't end well. Now, the Vision just wants an ordinary life - with a wife and two children, a home in the suburbs, perhaps even a dog. But it won't end any better. Everything is nice and normal - until the deaths begin. Tom King and Gabriel Hernandez Walta confound expectations in their heartbreaking, gut-wrenching, breathtaking magnum opus - collected in all its Eisner Award-winning glory.
