And in this one he finds a quiet place to play in a hollow tree where his grandpa used to play and his grandpa's old toys and all. It's sentimental tripe but I certainly don't think we can deny that sentimental tripe has its lovely side, especially in kids' books. So I truly do need to wonder what's the deal with the extensive and livid online anti-Caillou community? Why, guys? Is all this Caillou hate just this year's "why my kid is crying," by which I mean to say this year's inexplicable, ephemeral mass phenomenon, this year's planking or like, Koro syndrome for parents?
