I must first caution that I am a avid fan of Nancy Tillman. She has paved a road straight into this mother's heart with her books beginning with "On the Night You Were Born" and now with "You're All Kinds of Wonderful"! Being a Special Education Teacher, this is just the message I want to convey to each of my students on a daily basis. This book is gives positive, uplifting message of all the wonderful contributions they are going to make in this world and how I can't wait to assist them in doing just that! ( )

I love Nancy Tillman books! This book celebrates that we were all made different and those differences are what make us unique and special. We may see a quality or attribute in someone else that we really like and want to be like, but that might not work for us. So, we need to own who we are and what we stand for.

You're All Kinds of Wonderful is a great book to incorporate into lessons teaching the importance of individuality, embracing differences, and growing up.

This book would be ideal for K-2nd grade. However, it's applicable to any age. Everyone, no matter their age, needs reminders that their differences make them special.

Children are encouraged in this book to find what they do best and develop what makes them unique. The illustrations are wonderful and portray children with many differences that young readers will be able to relate to and the animals add to the delight of the story. Parents will appreciate. ( )

Part of growing up is discovering who we are. Finding out we are all wonderfully made with our own bells and whistles.
