JessiAdams: Both are clever adventure fantasy series with some magic and a main character who goes to great lengths to save the world. Both also have moments of laugh out loud hilarity.
I read this for the "Borrowed From A Friend" part of my 2020 reading challenge. I wasn't a fan. I watched the Netflix series first and didn't love that either. Interested because of the Netflix series. The stories get better as they progress. The focus is on Gerault. Yennefer only appears in the last story. Sword of Destiny is next on the list, and I will read it. ( )
