Antonio is like all of us, really. He has his goals, and makes progress toward them, but has never really thought about what he is after. His dreams are an indication of what he longs for – but he ignores them and pushes them away, since they are in conflict what he thinks he should want. Sound familiar? Thank God he decides to walk The Camino. I loved accompanying him as he experiences one eye-opening event after another.
Jeb is an enigma at first and, to a certain degree, remains one until the end. A storm demon, his story is heart breaking and I won’t go into any details here not to spoil the surprise. But let me tell you, when he starts opening up – you better have the tissues ready.
If you have ever thought about doing something out of the ordinary, about getting up and exploring the world (whether on an ‘official’ Camino, or by making your own way), read this book. It is absolutely beautiful!
