ICE #3
Another action-packed addition to the International Clandestine Enterprise (ICE) series introduces Luke Fox, Australian Airforc Pilot. Luke is sent on an undercover operation to take out drug lord Vincent Morales – El Padrino and his entire cartel. The setup sees Fox in a Mexican jail with an assumed name waiting to be sprung by Morales.
When Fox arrives at El Padrino’s compound he meets Mia, a young woman he is warned away from by is boss. Mia doesn’t seem to get the message and though beautiful and perhaps intelligent in some ways she is very naïve in others. Over time Luke has test to prove himself and Mia’s past begins to be revealed as a means of bringing down moral-less Morales is eventually put into play.
Watching Mia come into her own as Luke and Mia dance around one another in an unusual mating dance is fun. I pretty sure Mia could not accomplish as much as she did in such a short timespan BUT this is fiction and fun fiction so why bother with reality? ICE wins again and evil is thwarted with a setup for book four leading toward the taking down (I hope) of a ring of kidnappers. I wonder who will star in book four…will new characters star or will it be the two that we met in this book?
Thank you to the author for the ARC – This is my honest review.
