She was nervous, like every young kid. Her mom got her new bag while her dad packed her lunch. She finally arrived at the classroom and was surprised that all her classmates were children. Excited, Penelope ate all those delicious children. But Mrs. Noodleman, her teacher, told her that we don’t eat our classmates and asked her to spit them. So Penelope spits them all out but loses a chance to make friends in the class. Frustrated, Penelope went home and told her dad that she couldn’t make friends. So, did dad help? Did Penelope make friends? We picked this book for its funny title. The witty story with colorful illustrations can help children understand the aspects of sharing and caring for their classmates to make friends in their new school. We Don’t Eat Our Classmates by Ryan T. Higgins is a comical story with a subtle message on behavior for young children. Storytime Standout, Humorous Stories, Starred Review This is a good book for a read aloud, as well as a book to encourage students to write in different ways. This would be good to use when talking about HOW an author writes. Heh. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah. Funny, also great illustrations. Children are delicious. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
