This is another strongly moral SVK book, with video game addiction getting the Sweet Valley treatment. The game itself isn't exactly the sort of thing that makes people WoW widows in this day and age—it reminded me more of Frogger!—but this was 1993 after all and we're talking about second graders. I think it's well done, on the whole, but that Elizabeth gets over the addiction way too easily. I feel like it would be more realistic and help kids to be more sympathetic towards people with more serious addictions if Elizabeth found it harder to put the game down and was tempted to pick it up again when her friends talked about playing. But maybe I am asking too much of SVK!

An interesting SV Kids book, Elizabeth gets a video game that ends up taking up all her time, all she wants to do is play the game, and her friends are annoyed. (
