The first book in this series made the temperature in the room rise about 10 degrees and set the bar high. Beau's story did not disappoint. Still hurting after losing his first love forever, he's just looking to bury himself in something he loves and away from his loving but at times suffocating family. Quirky and reclusive writer Charlotte is such a great match for him. Neither is really looking for anything but following their passions - of the non-sexual nature. At first, their interactions will make you giggle, but things heat up quickly and will have you looking for a sexy real-life Braden boy of your own... Received as a gift Love is an art. It begins with a blank canvas and emotions are the colors that create the pictures. Anything But Love is like a photo album. Memories are abundant, but at times become askew. What the mind leads us to believe is not always rooted in truth, but built up by pain. Sometimes it takes a pair of fresh eyes to point us in the right direction. Charlotte and Beau are that new beginning. That fresh perspective. He's a fixer upper, waiting to be restored. She's that lonely heart, waiting to be healed. The heartache is just a stepping stone to point them in the right direction. The depth of a Melissa Foster story never ceases to amaze me. There's always a lesson waiting to be discovered. You know that author that you have heard good things about for years but never had the opportunity to read? Well, Melissa Foster is one of the authors I have wanted to read books by for some time but have never found one of her books on a shelf in the country I live in. So, when I was given the opportunity to take part in a blog tour and read this book I snapped it up immediately AND what a delightful story it proved to be! This story has characters that were perfect for one another. They care and share and really get to know one another and give and laugh and have interesting quirks and they made me smile and laugh and were oh so relatable. Their families are a big part of making them the generous supportive adults they have become capable of having a mature loving relationship. Beau and Charlotte had characteristics and personalities that brought out the best in one another and watching their relationship grow was wonderful. I could not stop reading once I started. The descriptions of scenery, emotions, people, interactions, situations and scenes in the boudoir (and out) made me feel I was part of the story. The dialogue was true to life and the story flowed flawlessly. There are many characters mentioned that I would love to know more about and see star in stories of their own AND I would love to have many of them be friends of my own. Did I enjoy this book? Definitely Will I read more by this author? Without a doubt Thank you to the author who bequeathed me a copy of this charming book – This is my honest review. What a great book! Charlotte is an author of erotic romances but she lives alone in a huge house. She’s interested in Beau from the first. Beau repairs/renovates homes & is determined to stay single. Until he walks in on Charlotte working out one of the scenes in her book. He tries to keep away but he’s drawn to her more than any woman in a long time. Can he get past his feelings of guilt to maintain a relationship with Charlotte? I really enjoyed this one. The sexual intensity between Charlotte & Beau leaps off the page. Beau really had to forgive himself for a prior incident before he could accept a relationship with her. The writer was able to portray their relationship as one they were drawn to & really didn’t have a choice in. No matter how much Beau fought, he couldn’t stop it. Charlotte’s process for working through tough scenes was capable of making me chuckle as I read. Just imagine walking in on the scene Beau did at the beginning & then realizing Charlotte was by herself. She came off as slightly crazy! I know I’m not doing this story justice. If you like romances & hot sexy characters, you have to read this one! Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
After Charlotte Sterling loses her last family member, she moves to Sterling House, her family's Colorado mountain inn, to live a solitary life. As an erotic romance writer, her days and nights are filled with passion and intrigue-even if only fictional. She loves her busy, quiet lifestyle, and she learned early on that real men can't live up to the fictional heroes she creates-until ruggedly handsome Beau Braden arrives to do some work at the inn and, for the first time in forever, she's intrigued by a real man.Beau lost his first love years ago, and he's never let go of his guilt over her death. As he nears the anniversary of his loss, he is on the cusp of becoming the star of a home-renovation reality show. Escaping the painful memories of his past to work at the defunct old inn is just the promise of solitude he needs to clear his head before diving in to the all-too-public career. But he didn't count on being attracted to the whimsical, adorably sexy innkeeper.Neither Charlotte nor Beau is looking for an attachment or a fling. But the more they learn about each other, the closer they become. Romantic evenings lead to intimate conversations, and neither can deny their deep connection or the passion it sparks. They've never fully healed on their own, but together maybe anything is possible. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
