This book is a good starting point for those who are searching for a scholarly discourse on the connection between Islam and terrorism. Esposito defines jihad in its religious and historical meanings and looks at what it means today. He then examines jihad movements of the past 30 years and then looks forward to the future. I wouldn't recommend this book for those who already have extensive knowledge on the subject. (
