If someone asked me to recommend a book for kids with gay parents, I would not recommend this one. Still, it's not really terrible. It's just so old school and, I think, probably written by someone who just wanted there to be one decent picture book where a kid has a homosexual parent. ( )

Hasn't aged well, since it was from the pre-gay marriage days. "Daddy's Roommate" would today be called "Daddy's partner" or "Daddy's boyfriend" without so much hedging. But valuable for what it was. ( )

This book is about a kid whos dad got a divorce for his mom and instead married another man. This book Is showing kids that families like theirs exist and they are not alone.

This is a great book for children who have a different kind of family compared to what others have. In the story the child's dad has a partner that he lives with and the kid in the story is fine with it. This story shows kids how some families may look different and even have two dads instead of a mom and a dad.
