OMG the part where her brother and Bram have a bromance moment after him finding out about them is hilarious as is the fact that her brother threatened HER rather than Bram is great. But one thing that I adored about this is how he treats his assistant. That is too precious! ( )

I found this story to be so much fun! I wouldn't say its my favorite Meghan Quinn at all, but I would say it was entertaining especially in the second half once these two actually got together. And it had a outcome with the brother (I LEAST EXPECTED haha) Meghan Quinn definitely threw me for a surprise on that one.

My primary issue that I had with this book was the flashbacks in the first half of the book, I really had no interest in them. The way this story was written, I just wanted to put it down because they were "meh" and just didn't appeal to me. I am highly picky about flashbacks and honestly I don't feel like they were needed, or if they were implemented it could have just been a couple of beginning chapters to get the important background between the couple. I just didn't feel the need to care. And I found the heroine a bit frustrating in the first half. I didn't really see why she was so anti the hero. Like he was so devoted to her, but she was fighting him so much even though you can see she feels the connection. She was just a bit flakey and the hero deserved a heroine willing to fight for him as much as he was willing to fight for her. My other issue was the conflict in the third act, with how the heroine was with the hero. She should have done a bigger grovel, the hero deserved better.

Now there were quite a few aspects that I did enjoy in this one. I loved the hero pining so much after the heroine. The friendship between the three friends was pretty amazing, I love seeing male friendships and its done so well in this one especially the friendship between the hero and the heroine's brother and when it all comes out, I just SWOONED the way that they stood by each other. It was pretty awesome. The romance itself was super swoony. It had me in my emotions so deeply. And I do feel like if you are looking for lots of feels, this is a story that you need to pick up.

Overall I found this one to be a charming, laugh out loud, unrequited love romance that leaves you with plenty of swoons! ( )

I loved this book so much that I read it in one sitting! That doesn't happen often--yes, I did have a book hangover the next day from staying up half the night to read. I'm that kind of person. I mourned over finishing the book since I love Bram...not so much for Julia--a bit too closed off for me. But when I think about it, her aloofness makes sense. She is highly intelligent--one trait for logical thinkers is the lack of social cues and sometimes common sense. At least those are the traits, my gifted son has anyway. Many of her mannerisms reminded me of my kiddo--ok he's not really a kid anymore since he'll be graduating in the spring, but he will always be my chubby little baby even if he is six four and skinny as a board.

Anyway, onto my review. Bram was completely lovable in every way. He purposely lost a bet just so he can spend more time with Julia...oh and he also had to enroll in her dating company which required him to date other people when all he really wanted was Julia. The large majority of the comedy stemmed from Bram and the lengths he went to in order to show Julia how he felt about her. It's something every girl wishes her man would do for her.

But nothing was smooth sailing for either him nor Julia. Big bro stepped in...but he didn't respond as expected. That was shocking and hilarious at the same time. After reading about Bram's circle of friends, I can see spin off books for them too especially Roark McCool and Rath Westin, Julia's older brother.

I would tell you more because I love this book so much!! I don't want to give away too many plot points and spoil the book for you. I highly recommend this book! ( )

If I ever doubted this author and her ability to write before I sure don't now. Not that I ever really did. Yet, I keep thinking to myself she cannot stay perfect but after this book, she might have elevated to that status. She took it to a whole new level with this story. There was still the humor, and feisty females, and chemistry to knock my socks off in addition to another AMAZING cover. However, there was something new to this book. There was a vulnerability in it with both characters. even amidst the humor and funny snarky undertones it was there.

I think that is why I adored Bram the way that I did. He wasn't alpha (sure he was confident but not in a smug way), nor did he have a mouth so filthy that it would take a lifetime of soap to clean out. Instead, he was genuine and true. He was resolved in knowing that Julia, Jules to him, was the finish line. She was everything. I adored seeing him unabashed in going to any lengths to show him that. Julia, sweet lord this girl. I adored her and her quirky characteristics. Together they truly were the perfect match. I didn't need certain colors to match them up to know this. They just clicked. I loved how they interacted with each other and tried to trick the other in confessing things to catch the other in a lie. This book isn't on the steamy side and didn't have it until much later in the book so keep that in mind if you are looking for something with a lot of sex. Sometimes the anticipation is much better than reading every other page of steam and that is true in this case.

There were so many humorous moments in the story. I won't give spoilers but can I just say that I will always think of this author when I see or hear about a dragon? I was rolling. In true fashion, this author has woven her magical unicorn spell over me and I am enchanted. There is a reason she is my go-to RomCom author. ( )
