What a fun way to get kids counting and learning simultaneously, this bilingual book is introducing students who don't speak Spanish into a vibrant world filled with items found in and around many Hispanic neighborhoods. This book is a celebration of spirt and an introduction into the Spanish language. This book was very simple but it introduces children to numbers and to Spanish. Throughout the book, there are numbers in English and then in Spanish. This book would be excellent for children to learn how to count all the way to ten in Spanish. I would also suggest reading this book with smaller children. Kindergarten and first graders might appreciate this book more than a second grader or a third grader. It is also a great book because children in kindergarten and first grade learn languages faster than older children. Usually, once a child turns ten it is more difficult for them to learn a new language. learning to count in Spanish is also a fun way to learn math because it excites children to be able to understand a different language.
