Fae's Captive is an interesting novella, and I think that instead of dividing it into a couple of books, it would have been smarter to keep it as one novel. That is the reason that I deducted a star from my rating. It is also the first time I borrowed the second installment of the series right away because I want to find out what will happen with Leander & Taylor living us in such a cliffhanger.
Leander is a very lovable alpha hero that is willing to die and spare Taylor's life. I loved the primary and secondary characters. The plot is good, although it needed a description or construction of the most developed fae world. Even so, I enjoyed it and kept my interest to continue the whole story.
I can understand that people picked this book because they thought it would have a lot of steaming sex. Well, I believe we will get it further on, but it didn't deduce from the enjoyment for me.
I like world-building because we learn about it at the same time with our heroine. A world where witches and strange creatures roam, and magic is everywhere. A world where few speak her language, and everywhere she turns, someone wants to harm her—a world where a Fae king takes her under his wing, claiming her as his own.
Looking forward to continuing with the series. ( )

This one really appealed to me and though of novella length captured my imagination and attention almost instantly here.
This is the story of Taylor and Leander: Taylor a human girl finds herself transported to the world of the fae taking the place of another changeling.
Here she comes to the attention of Leander the Winter King who recognises her as his mate.
So as I mentioned this was short and I do believe this and the second book would have been better served as one complete volume rather than two novellas: still I really enjoyed this immensely and even though I don't often give the full five stars to such short reads this made enough of an impression on me that I just had to go with my gut here.
This was actioned packed and also had some interesting secondary characters introduced here.
I am starting the next instalment here immediately.

One of my favorite authors recommended this book and am I happy she did because it was amazing. The story is unique, even beleble, making it impressive considering this is paranormal romance.fantastic characters with sass, determination, and adaptability. Great world building and secondary characters as well.

Looking forward to the next book. I just wish these were longer. ( )
