*GET THIS BOOK FOR YOUR CLASSROOM* I loved this book so much. It was a poetry book featuring a variety of poetic forms and authors. It was a collection of poems about gratitude, which was heartwarming and fun. It was both specific and relatable for all students. I liked how it modeled the different poetic forms and provided examples. The illustrations were amazing, and there was also a reference page in the back of the book that talks about the different poetic forms and literary devices. I think this would be a great resource for 4th-middle school students, and I WILL be using this in my classroom to teach poetry. ( )
"Thanku: Poems of Gratitude," is a beautiful collection of poems written by diverse authors covering the theme of being thankful. This would be a good collection to bring out around thanksgiving. This can also be used throughout the school year to remind students of the things they have to be thankful for. These poems remind the reader to be thankful for even the smallest things in life. ( )
This book would be good for primary grades. It is a collection of poems expressing thanks. I would use this around Thanksgiving to talk about what we are thankful for.
