All the characters are fun and have relatable personalities. A short, light hearted story to read if your having a bad day. ( ) I thought the main character of this was well drawn, but I had trouble relating to her in a lot of ways. Other things were introvert universal: showing up at a party alone, weird insecurities that you can't shake, the rich internal fantasies that run through the teen mind, and intense and few relationships. The thing that really holds me back is the often page long or more exposition. It interrupted the narrative flow, and wasn't usually necessary. Fewer meaningful integrated things on most every subject would've had more effect on me as a reader. This was a delightful read and I found myself chuckling all the way through it. I absolutely loved Natalie's narration! She was such an endearing character and she reminded me of myself at eighteen - shy, insecure, awkward around boys, uncomfortable with her body, an overthinker and uneasy in social situations. There will be many teenage girls who can relate to Natalie. Witty, honest and heartwarming, "It Sounded Better in My Head" had wonderful characters, amusing dialogue and a perfectly paced romance. Also, the fact that the author is a past student at the school I work at, makes this book even more special. A fabulous debut from a talented writer. I am looking forward to following Nina's writing career. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
