First edition as new with remainder mark

I'm reading through Baldacci books like bonbons, not really satisfied but can't stop. Again, this one has so many things going on through most of the book, with no clear idea of who the bad guy is or what crime is happening despite the body count, to a violent whirlwind ending. Great characters, though. I felt a little bad that South Freeman didn't get anything out of this, not even a few Revolution-era coins . ( )

A lot going on in this book, with more than one crime solved. Any fan of King and Maxwell will definitely want to read this one to learn about the inner secrets of Michelle Maxwell.

The main story is pretty complex, and it's pretty hard to know who's what. In the end, it seems like nobody is who they were supposed to be.

All in all, a fun read that I probably won't remember a year from now, but as an audiobook, it was pretty entertaining, which is all I expected. Audiobooks to me are just for listening to while doing something boring, like watering plants, walking or exercising (when I can't read the words), or driving. ( )
