Favorite Childhood Books (138) » 17 més No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I have read some other Shel Silverstein books before but not this one. I really enjoyed it. It has a collection of short and medium-length poems. They are all silly and nonsensical. The illustrations that go along with the poems enhance them and they are silly themselves. There is a unique art style in all of these illustrations. They look like sketches and are all in black and white. Silverstein uses a mix of rhyming words and words that do not rhyme in his poems. This book would be great for introducing young readers to a style of poetry. I would love to use this book to read a poem or two a day to a class during the end of class time.
Mr. Silverstein's work remains a must for lovers of good verse for children. Quite like nobody else, he is still a master of delectable outrage and the proprietor of a surprisingly finely tuned sensibility. Contingut aEstà ampliat aPremisDistincionsLlistes notables

This book is made of of very many poems and they are based on what the child is thinking in the moment. A light in the attic refers to the creativity and imagination you can have in your brain.
I would use this in my classroom as a way for students that are slightly behind in reading to help them become more confident in reading. (
