*Spoilers*

While I love the extra tidbits of information about the coven and its members, it was still unnecessary. It didn't add to Hester's or Malachi's character development, it was more a less a distraction from the main storyline, which unfortunately seems to be happening more frequently. Bernice unlocked God-mode while Emmy was meandering with Malachi and now she means to destroy Emmy and all the haints in the process because some random person convinced her to do so. Not only is he able to keep Emmy at bay, but inflict pain on her as well. The same Emmy that can recreate living things from her blood, warp reality, and pretty much anything else she sets her mind to, that Emmy. Luckily Lovey spirit (Bernice's teacher) intervenes and manages to patch everything up between the two, just in time for them to get ready for the showdown of the century. This volume felt very rushed and thrown in at the last minute. It wasn't what I was expecting at all, but still kinda fun in different ways. ( )
