Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I read these books as a child, and they have special nostalgic value for me. This one is about Morgan and Yew, who are best friends, even though Morgan is a unicorn and Yew is a sheep. The only problem: Yew doesn't feel special enough to be friends with a unicorn. He wants a horn of his own so badly that Morgan finally agrees to take him to the Morning Star to make his request. Yew gets the horn he was longing for, but soon learns that the consequences of his wish may be different than expected. As with other stories in the Serendipity series, the text is simple and easy to understand, clearly a beginning reader story. Although the message is heavy handed, the moral is a good one, and the touch of fantastic brings appeal. Most girls love a unicorn. This story is like the imagination brought to life. The pictures are lush and full of sweet, cuddly animals. Not an original text, by any means, but a story that fulfills its purpose of being an easy reader, and has a good message, as well.
