This one is not quite as good as the previous - I had figured out what, if not who or exactly why, well before the reveal at the end. But not bad. The only thing is, if I were paying attention to Lee's career, I wouldn't want her anywhere near my golf course - everywhere she goes there's a murder! Not related to her, usually solved by her and Graham - but still, she's a jinx. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

A Lee Ofsted mystery Lee Ofsted and Graham Sheldon, her ex-cop fianc?, have decided to take advantage of the glorious setting of the historic Royal Mauna Kea Golf and Country Club to have a quiet wedding ceremony. But from the start things go awry, partly on account of the influx of treasure hunters determined to find the club's most famous lost possession, the Cumberland Cup, commissioned from the great Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1908. Then real disaster strikes. During the Centennial Ball, Hamish Wyndham, the ancient and irascible chairman of the club's board of directors, is discovered bludgeoned to death. When the club pro, Wally Crawford, is targeted by the police as the most likely suspect, Lee is dragged into the maelstrom. And it doesn't take her long to turn up a host of suspects, motives, and simmering resentments . . . No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

The private Golf club is celebrating its 100 anniversary but things aren't going well when the Chairman of the board is found dead just before revealing the secret of the sacred oath. Did someone not want that secret revealed or was there another reason?
I'm not a golfer but my husband is and when I read this series, I have to laugh because there is no way that a "real golfer" would ever get this involved with murder forsaking his game.
Entertaining and at times challenging. ( )
