Apunta't a LibraryThing per saber si aquest llibre et pot agradar. No hi ha cap discussió a Converses sobre aquesta obra. I read Sean Duffy #1 last week and read this one , #7, this week. For all that they are a decade apart, the two books are quite similar, focused on the disappearance and death of a young woman. Sean is still a surprisingly well educated and broadly knowledgeable copper. Latin Greek, French, European classical music, classic pop music, painting, wine, whiskey, wisecracks. Since I like detectives like that, I'm happy with him but I can imagine that some people will find him a bit much. Never mind them. It's a good book and you will enjoy it. ( ) THE DETECTIVE UP LATE is written by Adrian McKinty and is the 7th in the Sean Duffy series. I couldn’t be happier to see this latest title. Sean Duffy’s return is welcome and he is a character one never forgets. As usual, the story is tense, fast-moving and gritty. The writing, the dialogues, the characters and plot - all excellent. The portrayal of Northern Ireland during the time of ‘the Troubles’ is unforgettable, emotional and spot-on. “Can Sean survive one last case before getting himself and his family out over the water?” Five Stars ***** Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
