An...interesting end to Charles Soule's run on Daredevil. I loved the introduction of Mike Murdock, Matt's imaginary twin brother come to life, and wished we had gotten more of him.

The second half of this volume, however, neatly wrapped up a lot of Soule's various plot threads in a satisfying manner and gave me a good emotional catharsis, except oops none of that was real. It was just Matt hallucinating on the operating room table as doctors fought to save his life. It's a rug pull, and not one I like. I'm not sure I've ever seen this type of "twist" done in a way that is satisfying (either narratively or emotionally) for me.

Phil Noto's art is gorgeous. Love his Mike Murdock. (
