She was able to retain her style and translate it to older characters in an interesting way. On the other hand, sometimes it felt just a tad too much like PLL with allllllll the drama and the secrets and the lies. Certainly not a book that will bore you at least!! But it might be one that overwhelms you with just how many surprises each character can have in their lives. I liked how connected everyone was in this book— their lies and secrets might not always have everything to do with the other characters, but everyone was connected to each other somehow.... but mostly through lies and secrets. I didn’t realize this book was going to be set in my hometown city (Pittsburgh), so that was a giant plus!! I loved reading about real neighborhoods and landmarks that I’ve been to so many times. But also, being that I know so much about the city— anytime there was an error, I was kinda pissed. And there were errors. Did I mention this book is about secrets and lies?? Well, it is!!! 2. Way too many hot topics covered.
3. There are really no good people in this book, everyone is lying, cheating, scheming, backstabbing, or and or behaving like a pig or a sociopath. (
