( ![]() I really enjoyed this book. The fake dating trope always gets me. It has a different feel once you're in a fake one then they realize they like each other. What hit me was Jenny and Becca's story because even if jenny was popular and had lots of people around her, she still felt something was missing. What she needed was a true friend, which was none other than Becca. They both came back as friends and that's the best part of their friendship. Showed challenges and difficulties that they can both overcome together. A true friendship and fake dating to real lovers trope. Nice decent cliche story. Loved it! I really liked this book! It was such a fun quick read considering it was under 300 pages. It felt like a basic high school love story. It kept me reading. I felt like the author was trying to make this seem more ya than it needed too. Like there was literally like 3-4 curse words in the book and so smut. Seems like the author wanted to make it look like an older book, when it didn’t need to be. A good book tho! I should have loved this book.....it had one of my favourite tropes: fake/pretend relationships.......but this book was just boring....so boring I would have given up on it had it not been so short. One of the main problems was the speed.....this book just jumped into the relationship.....right in the first chapter......now I know I really don't love it when a book takes too long to get started with the story......but this one just went superfast......like really really fast......like BAMM!! Shes got a fake boyfriend....BAMM!! they're on their date.....BAMM!! Both of them start developing feelings..... Another problem was the writing......I was expecting this to be like To All The Boys I've Loved Before by Jenny Han......but this disappointed me......the writing was just boring ......and the story seemed forced......and the main characters were just not appealing to me. This book would've got three stars if not for the "BOOK DESTROYING". I draw the line .......no matter the reason.....at DESTROYING BOOKS....you CANNOT appeal to me if you destroyed books....ripping off the covers....tearing out pages.....throwing them in whatever water body you saw fit to pollute.....contemplating BURNING BOOKS!!!!!!.....I was like can you believe this book?!?!?! After the book burning debacle i only stuck around because there wasn't much left.....and i was really bored with life... This book was just flat....most of the time I was just wondering what the f*** was going on....oh my god weren't they outside in the rain?!?!....oh my god aren't they inside?!?! This book is okay for a read if you have lots of time and low expectations.....i don't mean to judge....a lot of stories on Wattpad are really nice......but at the end of the book when i saw it was first published on Wattpad....i was like THAT EXPLAINS A LOT. Don't read expecting a good story....if you're only reading to pass the time or something then you might like it Becca Hart doesn't believe in love, but pretends to have a boyfriend to keep her friends from teasing her. Brett Wells, BMOC, overhears and steps in as the pretend boyfriend (I never really understood why). There's a lot of teenage drama but ends as you'd expect. It's a cute story and an easy read, but not particularly different from a lot of YA books out there. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya
A fun, flirty teen debut from Wattpad phenom Alex Light about a fake relationship and real love. It's been years since seventeen-year-old Becca Hart believed in true love. But when her former best friend teases her for not having had a boyfriend, Becca impulsively pretends she's been secretly seeing someone. Brett Wells has it all. As captain of the football team and one of the most popular guys in his school, he should have no problem finding someone to date, but he's always been more focused on his future than who to bring to prom. When he overhears Becca's lie, Brett decides to step in and be the mystery guy. It's the perfect solution: he gets people off his back for not having a meaningful relationship and she can keep up the ruse that she's got a boyfriend. Acting like the perfect couple isn't easy, though, especially when you barely know the other person. But with Becca still picking up the pieces from when her world was blown apart years ago and Brett just barely holding his together now, they begin to realize they have more in common than they ever could have imagined. When the line between what is pretend and what is real begins to blur, they're forced to answer the question: Is this fake romance the realest thing in either of their lives?
