I won Texas Forever in a Goodreads giveaway, and was excited to read it. Being from Texas myself, I was hoping to get lost in the ranch drama and forbidden love, but after the first few chapters I was disgusted, and couldn’t read further. The mature nature of the book wasn’t really my cup of tea, but I trudged on, despite not being impressed with the first chapter, and hoping it would start to pick up. It didn’t.

Then there’s the age difference between Luke and Erin, a point that really got under my skin, and just the overall feel of this narrative made my skin crawl, so I skipped to the last chapter, and read the most predictable ending, and was thankful that I did not finish this novel.

I rarely give up on a book, but I couldn’t in good conscience finish Texas Forever, and was incredibly disappointed. (

This was my first read by the author and I loved it. There to me is no improvements needed. I sadly dont have property thats been in the family like the main character. We are more of a family and country type family. (
