Warrior supreme Guts has been marked for sacrifice to the armies of the damned, and now he has the blood of a village of possessed children on his hands - a horde of elf-demons straight out of a fairy-tale fever dream. But now Guts must deal with the Queen of the Elves herself, and though she may be cute as a button, she has hideous power and lethal intent, and in her wake, no one lives happily ever after! Guts gets beat up pretty bad during his battle with the Queen of Elves and is immediately set upon by the Holy Iron Chain Knights lead by Lady Farnese. After winning a duel with one of their knights, Guts is beset upon by multiple knights and ends up captured.
The illustration continues to be very well done. This volume was very violent and gory, just like previous volumes. There were some awesome fight scenes between both Guts and the Queen of Elves and Guts and the Holy Iron Chain Knights. There was tons of action in this volume but not as much story development.
Overall this was a great continuation of this series. I prefer a little more story development than was here, but there were a lot of great action scenes. I would recommend to mature readers who enjoy fantasy horror manga. ( )
