I made hot and sour soup. With tofu. My parents ate tofu. I don't remember which of the entrees I made, maybe the pork lo mein. I made homemade fortune cookies. That was a task! It took a lot of practice to get the pancakes perfectly thin and not burned. Then a lot of practice to actually put them in the muffin tins and form a cookie shape before I baked them. But they tasted good and I had fun.
I've never made them since. But it's always in the back of my mind. Or, maybe I'll just buy the kid's fortune cookie maker at Walmart and call it done. ( )
