Marian Langliey decides that to save her impoverished family; and incidentally herself from a lecherous neighbour; she has to become a courtesan, that way she can sponsor her sisters and get them lives and loves and she can survive. She gets advice from a notorious neighbour and looks to the local rake to help her learn what to do but he starts to find reasons to keep her close.
I enjoyed the way they sparked off each other and the retired Concubine was a hoot. ( )

This was a fun and easy read, but I didn’t feel as though I learned enough about the hero and heroine; oddly and nicely not a lot of drama except the cookie cutter villain in the village blacksmith. ( )

I received an ARC of this book to read through Edelweiss+ in exchange for a fair review. The Duke’s Stolen Bride is the 5th book in Sophie Jordan’s The Rogue Files series. It can be read as a stand-alone but you will never go wrong reading a Sophie Jordan novel so read them all.

From the moment Nate first met Marian when she crawled under his table in the pub to hide from a bill collector he’s been shaken out of the decadent ennui his life revolved around and if he does instruct her will he want to let her go? This delightful story will surely heat up a cold winter night and I highly recommend it.
