Instant Karma - a book about an over achiever who after a slip and fall gets a concussion some how develops these powers to give out instant Karma... When Prudence first realizes this gift/curse she's super excited and it's like boom you're a bad person bad karma, you're a bad person boom bad karma,, she dishes it out like no body's business but slowly she starts realizing the ripple effect of what happens with every decision she makes. This is simply an adorable cute slow romance and Karma filled story that really opens your eyes that although you may think your point of view is the right one well there is a point of view that may simply disagree.

Overall I love the character's and I loved this little small town point of view and crazy amount of Karma that is dished out and how it comes full circle. My only annoyance is that throughout this story Prudence is so concerned about helping the rescue center that she seems to be for the most part oblivious to her own family's troubles and sorry this is a bit of a spoiler the book never really answers or resolves this issue for me.. not sure if it gets resolved in the next book but it was quite annoying that it wasn't here therefore I only gave it 4 stars.

But to surmise my overall review of this book I will say that I did have fun reading it, I loved the characters and the story and I would definitely recommend to anyone that loves contemporary romance. This was adorable and just a cozy read.

Excited to read the next book in this series. :) ( )

I simply adored this read. I really loved how the elements came together to create a prefect summer ron con with a magical element that one might not predict. This book was much longer the i expected but felt like it was paced so well. This book had so many various elements like love to hate romance, a fun job, a cool saving element and al these elements worked so well together. Also the focus on a small sea town and focus on the plight of sea creatures with element of the sea rescue was both adorable but so educational. I also loved all the characters in this book, and felt it was a great read. It had some many elements i adored and really loved this read! If you want adorable summer read with a classic love to hate romance and a fun job:) pick it up! ( )

This book started out kind of slow for me but it picked up pace pretty quick. I found it to be predictable in a lot of ways but enjoyed the read none the less. ( )

If you look below, you'll see that I HATED this book the first time I attempted to read it. I don't think it was a masterpiece even now, but it was much better as an audiobook.
Pru's attitude started getting better towards the end of the book, but what I really liked was the ending. I was not expecting Meyer to take that turn and I have to admit that it worked really well.
Also, Morgan still drove me nuts with how intolerant she was of differing opinions (such as eating meat, or leather boots). Seriously, I don't know how she will be able to handle life in the future if she doesn't chill a bit. Just saying.

Disclaimer: I DNF'ed this bok 57% the way through.
Since everyone seems to love Marissa Meyer's books, I saw an opportunity to review this one and hopped right on board.
Pru is extremly flippent about hurting people and the 'karma' seems to be thrown into the book as an afterthought. Pru is going along and doing her thing when the plot suddenly jumps to karma. For example, someone gets stung by a bee due to Pru's karma and this is the reaction, "Gosh, I hope she's not allergic." Seriously?
At times, the book also seemed really pushy about right and wrong. I'm begging, please give people a chance before getting all judgy. There is only so much I can take from MCs before I want to DNF the book, and Instant Karma surpassed my limit.
I was kinda disappointed when it started using language. Marissa Meyer has been known for mostly clean young adult fiction and it seems that she is using more and more language.
