Justified moves to Texas in this crime book. The Raylan Givens figure, Sheriff Grissom Callahan, bends some laws as he investigates a double homicide. He also has a handful in his elderly, cantankerous father, the county's previous sheriff. A little slow, a little violent, a little twist at the end, a little set-up for a sequel, a lot bland.

The art is erratic, varying from occasional detailed panels seemingly referenced from photos of Timothy Olyphant to mostly blobby and indistinguishable faces.

After trying four volumes from Humanoids' H1 imprint, I cannot say I am impressed. ( )
