Zoey Caldwell has finally saved up enough tip money from her waitress job at a truck stop to take her dream vacation to Alaska. She will stay on the couch of her rich friend, Lana's suite for two weeks while she enjoys her Alaskan adventures. What she doesn't count on is running into a murderer in the woods with a chainsaw. After she kicks him in the groin and calls the police, she finds out that is just Graham Barnett, owner of the local diner called The Tourist Trap, using his chainsaw to make carvings outside of his cabin. Graham has had his eye on Zoey ever since she came to town, but he has a strict rule about not associating with tourists. He might let his rule slide, however, just this one time because Zoey is the cutest woman he's ever met.

The Tourist Attraction is a breezy romance filled with quirky characters and laugh-out-loud situations. The snappy, sarcastic dialogue between Graham and Zoey makes them easy to like along with an entertaining supporting cast of both humans and animals. The only minor negative in this book is the ridiculous length of time that it takes for Zoey and Graham to come to the obvious solution to their problem, but overall, this is a pleasurable romance that is very enjoyable reading. A fresh, sweet contemporary romance - complete with a moose. Worth a look, and maybe a re-read. ( )

I am a person that likes to read series in order, and the second book of the series is the book for December's Currently reading book club. I borrowed through Scribd the audiobooks and listened to them. (Yes, you need to read them in order because there is a continuation between the books.)
This was a new author for me.
Overall I really enjoyed the story. It was a delightful, slow-burn romance.
I had a problem with the book's pacing; it felt slow, only for an insta-love that takes two weeks for Zoey-bear and Graham to understand that they deserve each other.
On the other hand, the author surrounds them with an interesting cast of secondary characters, both human and animal (the lovesick moose steals every scene he's in), amidst a changing landscape not eagerly embraced by locals. It sets up a great conflict that makes the unexpected relationships forming that much more interesting.
I will give credit to the author and the book because it made me travel through some landscapes of Alaska. Maybe I will visit someday, but I traveled with a book if it won't happen. ( )

There was nothing wrong with this book per say, but I generally read books like this in a day or two and this one took me close to a week. It felt like a chore to pick it up and read more. ( )

Anxious for a trip of a lifetime, Zoey heads to Moose Springs, Alaska with a budget in mind. Cutting corners by bunking with her friend Lana, who is back in Moose Springs with a business proposition, Zoey manages to have more than one clever meet cute with Graham Barnett. Graham is beyond grumpy. He would like to work on his wood carving, but opened The Tourist Trap, serving a very limited menu and it has become a go to destination spot for travelers to Alaska. Nothing like success to ruin your mood. The town of Moose Springs, the resort and the townspeople all fill vital character roles that are really fleshed out. Definitely a fresh, fun diversion. ( )
