GET OUT OF JAIL FREEâ??OR DIE Doing time in Texas is no picnic. But getting sent to The Walls in Huntsville is a fate worse than hanging. If the guards don't kill you, the prisoners will. And if it weren't for the fact that the man who framed Hank Fallon and murdered his family could be inside The Walls, Hank would never step one foot in that heinous helltrapâ??let alone go undercover as an inmate. But this isn't just another assignment. This is his chance for revenge . . . Inside The Walls, Hank quickly discovers who's bossâ??as well as judge, jury, and executioner. The only relief from the gang fights and guard beatings is a prison work program that allows inmates to leave The Walls to work for plantation owner J.J. Justice. The tale starts with action, adventure, danger, fights and all of it surrounds Hank the moment he is escorted into the prison yard! I was captivated by the constant threats to Hank’s life and the tortures he endures all in the name of justice. But the danger heightens when Hank gets a reduced sentence and works for a man outside the walls the moment he enters the bunkhouse! Whew!
Hank is working undercover, but he is running in to men he has put in prison when he wore a badge. Men who have long memories and a desire to take him out in any way they can! Now, Hank wants the man who made sure he was out of the way when the murders of his family occurred. Plus, there is a plot to resurrect the War between the States with a plantation owner as president! The man who Hank has the fortunate or unfortunate, depending how you look at it, task to work for is the one who wants Hank to fight and train others to do so.
When readers start reading this story that begins with nonstop activity, be prepared as that never lets up throughout the whole book! Readers will enjoy Hank’s clever wit, charm and fighting spirit as he faces threats from a multitude of people and circumstances. The ending was surprising, and I hope to see Hank in future books as he rides off to his next assignment. I really enjoyed the Hank Fallon character in the various plots that readers can enjoy in the previous two installments titled, Yuma Prison Crashout and Behind the Iron before the fourth books comes out later this year.
Grab yourself a cup of joe and enjoy all three books; they are excellent! ( )
