Also when she says "Maybe you'll be interesting" to elain i laughed my head off. I didn't like the way Rhys treated Nesta but the way Him and Cassian make so many jokes about pleasuring etc was too over the top. Still love the characters and excited to watch them grow, but I felt the sex scenes were overdone. Can’t say they weren’t deliciously spicy, but there were just too many compared to the other books. Sort of like culture shock for me. BEST Book List! Pertany a aquestes sèries
With bits of Buffy, Game Of Thrones and Outlander, this is a glorious series of total joy - StylistSarah J. Maas's sexy, richly imagined Court of Thorns and Roses series continues with the journey of Feyre's fiery sister, NestaNesta Archeron has always been prickly - proud, swift to anger and slow to forgive. And since the war - since being made High Fae against her will - she's struggled to forget the horrors she endured and find a place for herself within the strange and deadly Night Court. The person who ignites her temper more than any other is Cassian, the battle-scarred, winged warrior who is there at Nesta's every turn. But her temper isn't the only thing Cassian ignites. And when they are forced to train in battle together, sparks become flame. As the threat of war casts its shadow over them once again, Nesta and Cassian must fight monsters from within and without if they are to stand a chance of halting the enemies of their court. But the ultimate risk will be searching for acceptance - and healing - in each other's arms. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |

Far and away my favorite of the whole series so far. Where we previously got to see the growth and evolution of Feyre’s inner strength and emotional / romantic development, our deep dive into Nesta in this book was a cut above for me. We see her going through extreme trauma and grief and depression and coping and all of the dark parts of female characters that we so rarely get to see fully explored in literature. She is easier to hate than love, and that is what makes me love her all the more as a beautifully complex character.
Add to that: Cassian. How he travels along the difficult road with her and never stops reaching out his hand, it’s heart-wrenching and beautiful all at the same time. If anyone is the epitome of don’t judge a book by its cover, it’s Cassian. He is strong yet caring, brave and stoic and yet also able to express emotion and love. Cassian will always be my favorite SJM man. (
