A compilation of some of the earliest writings about Auschwitz by the author of The Drowned and the Saved, this volume gathers several of Primo Levi's lesser-known texts, including "Arbeit macht frei," "Resistance in the Lager," and "Which Train to Auschwitz." This volume includes the first Spanish-language translations of the texts that resulted from a round-table discussion on "the Hebrew question" in which Levi and other Italian intellectuals participated. It also features "The Spiritual Exercises of Primo Levi," a long essay by University of Chicago and University of Pisa professor Arnold I. Davidson. Together, these texts form a shattering testimony of the Holocaust. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
