Jonty is LIFE

Okay... I adore Jonty Bloom. He is officially one of my favorite book characters ever, even more so after reading the little Christmas book after this one. The way Jonty and Devan complement each other is some incredible writing. I did feel like sometimes the topic jumped around outside of Jonty speaking, whether it was told from his or Devan’s perspectives, but an easy thing to overlook when the story was this good. I can’t wait to dive in to more from this author! ( )

I'm sitting here smiling as I type, immensely satisfied. I came across this book by chance, was intrigued by the end of the e-sample, and honestly more nostalgic than sad at the end, even though I feel like I was in Northumberland with Jonty and Devan. The humor worked very well for me, and that's rather rare, and to be cherished. Recommended! ( )

Wow, Barbara Elsborg is quickly becoming my new second-favorite author! Lovely blend of humor, romance and pathos. ( )

This is only the second book I read by Barbara Elsborg. The first one being a dnf @ 82%, I was not really expecting much from this one.
And I'm very glad I took a chance, because I loved it! Jonty kind of grabbed my heart and didn't let go until the end. ( )
