Ryan was an omega paralegal who worked for a real jerk. He was thrilled to be moved to another department, but was a bit stunned when he was put to work with th alpha lawyer that he had a crush on, Marcus. Marcus knew that he needed an additional paralegal, but he was surprised when Ryan was assigned to him. Marcus had a crush on Ryan for ages and tried to avoid him due to not being allowed romance in the workplace.

I liked the crushes Ryan and Marcus had on each other. It was totally adorable. They tried to stay away from the other because of professionalism, but when they are thrown into work together, it became more difficult. The two eventually begin a secret relationship and are able to keep it pretty quiet, but when Ryan becomes pregnant and then comes into family troubles, the guys are forced to rush their relationship and figure out how to balance it all and keep their jobs. I thought the resolution was a bit to easy. There were no consequences at all despite very loud warnings that there would be some. Seemed a bit contrived. It was a good story, though.

Awesome

Before I say anything else, can we just talk about the series title? Dewey, Cheetum, & Howe? Is that not just totally awesome? I love puns and wordplay and that's a good one. OK, onto the book now that I've gushed over the title.

Ryan is an Omega. He's worked really hard to be a paralegal, one of the few in the legal profession. The original team he was working on made him feel invisible. He'd make a suggestion and then someone else would immediately grab his words and use them and get all the props. But when he got switched over to Marcus' team, he all of a sudden because super-visible. He's had a crush on Marcus for years.

Marcus is a leading divorce lawyer who works to protect Omegas when they are divorcing. He's had his eye on the handsome Omega working at his law office for years, but dating employees is verboten. That means Ryan is way off-limits. He's been doing that with no problem, right until Ryan gets switched to his team and he is right under Marcus' eye all the time.

I love the interplay between the two of them. They work really hard to make sure that they are respecting each other. I hate Ryan's family. They are so very, very nasty. The cross-dressing Omega is just hilarious, and a great touch of comic relief. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series, not just because of the series title, but because of the chemistry between the characters and the decent storyline in the book. ( )
