Note: I received a digital review copy of this book from the publisher through NetGalley. Dang, this is really good. There are some emotional, climatic points that just hit. I think this is set a few years after the first book. Here, Sola is questioning her identity since she as looked upon as this great savior, Alef want to colonize the world (read: sea), Hunder misses the sea and voyages again but wonders if he’s going down the wrong path. I loved all the characters and coloring. The Ghosts were an excellent part of the story. They really carried things. I can’t wait for the next book. Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

"Once, everyone called Sola 'cursed.' Now they call her hero. But why doesn't she feel like one? After their quest to find the Monster, Sola and her friends have gone down separate paths. Sola spends her days on the open seas while Hunder stays close to home as the chief of the unified Sun and Fortress Islands. And Wick? Well . . . it's almost as if he's become a ghost. Then their world is thrown into chaos when Alef, the captain of one of Hunder's ships, brings news of a massive island--a continent--that he says the Sun and Fortress islanders are destined to claim for their own. Alef and Hunder launch an expedition that threatens to bring death and destruction to any who stand in their way. Sola must make a choice--step aside and allow other islanders to die, or risk her own life in order to stop her friend."--Provided by publisher. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
