Note: I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for an honest review. Tension, terror, mystery, empathy, this has a great mix of strong emotions that it absolutely nails. The premise is rock solid and isn't afraid to "get political" because the story demands it and is better for it. Read it! Gran comienzo. We follow the events that befall a seemingly every day FBI operative, Cole Turner, who has been following and working with conspiracy theories and theorists for years and years. He is whisked away by a very dark and mysterious organization later identified as a United States of America governmental department entitled The Department of Truth. They are in battle with an even more mysterious organization known as The Black Hats. Cole doesn't know which way to turn, and he isn't given much choice, either. He cannot confide in his loving husband which causes strife at home, as you can imagine. And eventually he is coerced (forced?) into a vile deed that he is unable to handle psychologically. We are left in a pit of hellish turmoil and likely compelled to read the rest of the books in this series. ( )
