Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . pretty good paranormal romance. Perfect for a snowy evening inside.Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . Entertaining shifter romance. Good points for fairly accurate Icelandic spelling and usage, most books get it horribly wrong. Sexy with engaging plotline. A bit of a slow start but once it got going it was very suspenseful. Recommended if you like paranormal romance.Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . Second part in the children of Fenrir story in which Sonya meets Tyler Vidarsson. Raul was definitely the bad guy. Ty now has the mission to learn Sonya to cope with her new life as a werewolf. What I liked about this one is that we get to know more about the background of these werewolves which goes back into Norse mythology. And there is more to her turning, because she's not the only one. And there is a special reason why she got bitten. I liked this one more than the first part. For one thing, it was a book instead of a novella. I liked Ty more than Raul, but he got the bad part in this book. The background was interesting and new. I have read a lot ot werewolves books and this was new for me. Disclaimer: I got this book in the Librarything Early Reviewers Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . Bitten & Beholden by Heather McCorkle centres around Sonja Michaelson, bitten by a werewolf and she must travel to Montana to learn exactly what is happening to her, only to meet with Tyler Viðarrson, her sexy teacher. I loved the Norse mythology, very different to other werewolf books, the origin story of shifters and other creatures was really interesting. Hope to read more of this series, I'm intrigued to read more and delve into the historical aspects in future books Ressenya escrita per a Crítics Matiners de LibraryThing . Before reading this book I read the prequel so I would know what the set up for this book would be. The storyline in this book was very creative and interesting. I liked how the author wove Norse mythology into her story. The ending was exciting. The reason for my 3 star review: major discrepancies between the 2 books and within the stories themselves. There were so many large ones that I had to wonder if the author re-read her first story before publishing the second one. I won't go into every single incident because there are quite a few large zingers, but I will offer up one example: In the prequel, the the first protagonist werewolf to come on the scene smells like fresh pine and forest and the girl protagonist appreciates that he doesn't feel the need to use artificial fragrance as an affectation. In this book, in two different instances, the same werewolf is said to wear strong, terrible artificial fragrance that can be smelled a mile away. Which is it? There are a lot more in both stories that are so blatant that they cannot be missed. It ruins the continuity of the story. Such a bummer for such a promising series! I've seen both books for sale already and I think the author would have done herself a great favor if she had hired a good editor first. I think her stories are amazing but having consistent details are extremely important in a story, otherwise the reader is unable to suspend their disbelief, they are too busy trying to correct the text in their mind. After a hot night turns into something out of a horror movie, Sonya wakes up on her bathroom floor with a chunk taken out of her neck and her body going through some very strange changes. The only person who might have answers has disappeared, leaving her a mysterious note to meet him in Montana. Fired from her job at the bar, dealing with senses that have tipped over into freaky, she is left with no choice but to go after the bastard that did this to her.Instead of her attacker, she finds Ty, an alluring man who claims he has been sent to be her teacher to help her survive the transition into her new life. She learns that she has been bitten into a line of werewolves that trace their lineage back to an ancient pack from Iceland. Worse, if she doesn't control her wolf before the full moon, she could lose her sanity. While she's confident her sanity will survive, it soon becomes obvious that her heart is another matter. As the days tick down to the full moon she realizes neither her sanity, nor her growing feelings toward Ty are her worst problems. She isn't the only one who was changed against their will, and whoever is changing others, wants Sonya for what she can awaken. No s'han trobat descripcions de biblioteca. |
