After answering an advertisement in a newspaper, Elton teamed up with a lyric-writing buddy: Bernie Taupin. The rest was history. Elton's songwriting talent, musical skill and dazzling outfits have made him one of the all-time greats. So, OF COURSE, I had to pick up this book. On top of it being from one of my fave children's picture books series that feature the best non-fiction content I've seen in a long time!
Elton John: Musician, Fashion Icon, real name is Reggie, best friend named Bernie, cool glasses, and overall cool guy. He's illustrated to be the sweetest, little nerd and he's just so cute. He's playing piano, auditioning, and learning his craft. This guy's story is told perfectly with the colourful artwork and beautiful illustrations. Honestly, these illustrations are WAY better than the previous instalments in this series. SO MUCH BETTER. SO COLOURFUL. I LIKE IT. ALL CAPS. STRESS THESE SENTENCES PLEASE.
Overall, this book is a must read from me!
Five out of five stars.
