Ausgeliehen über kindle unlimited - die Kurzgeschichte, in der es um einen "Prinz" geht, der eines Tages sein Smartphone an einer Brücke in den zu einem matschigen Rinnsal verkommenen Fluss fallen lässt und der dadurch bekanntschaft mit einem weiblichen Brückentroll macht, hat mich nicht überzeugen können. Und bevor man mit den Charaktären warm wird, ist die Geschichte, in der viele moderne take-away Kaffee-Variationen getrunken werden, auch schon zu Ende.

Ich werde auf die weiteren Märchenvariationen dieser Reihe verzichten. ( )

Rainbow Rowell is one of my favorite authors, I will always read anything she publishes. Was this one of my favorites of hers? Not at all. I was kind of left with a, "What exactly was this story about besides a guy and a troll?" The ending felt a bit rushed and I lost some of the motive for what was happening.

I don't know. It was a bit weird for me. ( )

This is an interesting fairytale retelling, though not much of the world was described at all. I didn’t feel any real connection to the characters because I don’t know what they’re up against or what they’ve been through or really even what they want. ( )
