BooksInMirror | Feb 19, 2024 |  I do not agree at all with Dana Sue and filing for sole custody of her daughter after the divorce, especially since Annies dad was not violent, absent etc. As a parent I reject the fact the she purposely kept her daughter from her father and her resentment caused a big conflict in Annie. So I am not really to impressed with that. I highly recommend The Sweet Magnolia book series! (  ) mrsrenee | Jan 29, 2021 | I am continuing the series of 'The Sweet Magnolias' because I liked the first book and liked the first season of the TV series on Netflix. (Hopefully, soon we will have the second season as it left on a cliff hanger and very open ending.) Not only was this novel a great romance. The book is also a great way to highlight some of the physical and body image issues that many women face. It was nice to read about other women having issues. I absolutely adore the friendship that Dana Sue, Maddie & Helen have and how they help one another. Looking forward to reading Helen's story next as I have it on my physical TBR. I am sure to continue with the series because I love the main and secondary characters, and I want to find out how their stories will get involved and resolved.
