I didn't like this anywhere near as much as Hard Fall. Tripp was a jerk. Not like an endearing awkward jerk, just an utter jerk. It was hard to really care. He got better, but not good enough for me to really root for him. He didn't have the hidden depths that Buzz/Trace did either. Chandler was alright. A little strange, I couldn't quite peg down her character, she seemed a bit all over the place - shy virgin? daytime quickie in the backseat of a car? I liked that she was a black belt in karate but that storyline kind of just went nowhere. The romance between them was meh. I didn't get why Chandler kept putting up with him. The shining light in this book was Molly. Molly - Tripp's next door neighbor, fifteen year old dog walker/house sitter - who bakes cookies and gives out relationship advice. She was freaking hilarious. I kind of want to see Sara Ney write her story. She's a total badass.

It was alright. Bit long considering I didn't really rate the story or characters. But it an easy enough read, it had some funny moments/lines and there were appearances from Buzz and Hollis, plus Molly. So rating, 2.5 stars. ( )

Tripp and Chandler's story. Tripp is a pro football player and he meets Chandler at his brother's (Trace from the previous book Hard Fall) bachelor party and wedding. Little does he know that Chandler will knock him onto his butt literally!

I didn't mind this book, but there were really some things about it that just didn't do it for me. Tripp's angry, short, rude attitude was a little over the top. Could he really be that clueless? The neighbor girl Molly was cute and all but helping him with his love life? Lastly, we get an epilogue without one word about Tripp and Chandler in it. How disappointing. Again, it was fine but not my favorite. ( )
