But just because Moo and a pirate bull experience 'infatuation at first sight' they both give up life at sea and become domesticated? Reads like a lame Romance novel. (And even if you don't mind that, consider - how did Moo learn about the sea in the first place? And how can she understand the speech of the cat captain, but not the cat crew?) Sorry - fail. ( ) Such a cute book about a cow that has always wanted to go to sea. When she becomes old enough she gets onboard with cats and becomes the "cook" by giving them a barrel of milk each day. Sailor Moo falls of the ship and the bull ship rescued her. She then fell in love with Red Angus and they had a little family together. Young Moo has yearned for the sea since she was a baby so when she is old enough she signs on board a ship of cats as the cook and sails off with them. She falls overboard in a storm and is rescued by a ship of pirate bulls, falls in love with the captain who retires to build a home and family with her. Told in rhyming verse, this is an amusing tail. http://www.lisawheelerbooks.com/ This is a cute book about a cow. She sets out to sea with cats and falls overboard. She is then rescued by a boat full of bulls who are pirates. She then leaves the boat with the captain bull and they live happily ever after with their baby calf. Moo dreams of becoming a sailor. Little does she know, when she sets off toward the sea, that the first crew she joins will be composed of cats. Or that she herself will be hailed by a shipload of pirate steers as their captain¹s dairy queen. It's amoozing where a dream can take a girl -- a truth which Lisa Wheeler and Ponder Goembel relish here in rollicking words and witty, windblown pictures.
