This is the conclusion of the series, and it has been quite the adventure for not only Patrick but all characters. SO much has happened and so much more is about to come. Not wanting to give any spoilers or too much away I will say it has been a fun ride, each book is packed not only with chaos but characters you end up loving. They are preparing to battle their final battle, but will it work they hope it will or will all hell break loose? Like I said very enjoyable ride with great characters, and suspense that will keep you on the edge of your seat. ( ) The hero's journey comes to full circle with this volume and not everyone makes it out alive. It's kind of a bittersweet ending, but the right kind of ending too. I'm still processing, but it's a good story at the end of a series which kept getting better with each book. Thank you Ms. Turner for an enjoyable ride. dnf at 40% this series got so boring and repetitive that I can't even push through the last 60% of this one book to finish my main complaints - why I'd there no lgbtqia rep besides the main couple? and even they are strictly top/bottom dynamic that makes no sense to me tbh - sex scenes are boring - alcohol and sex used as coping mechanims and never really challenged in a meaningful way - damaged emotionally stunted mc who has no emotional growth - after book 1 there are really no stakes for romance - there are no consequences for anything!!! - wade?? why?? he doesn't do anything and supposed to be a comedic relief, but simply annoying - billionaire friend that sees future, Patrick working for SOA and being a magic user solve all their problems, there is no need for 7 books really! they could've employed a couple of covens, done their research and be on their way to hea! also Patrick has a friend who is secretly a [redacted, revealed in b 3 or 4 I don't remember]. HE LITCHRALLY COLDVE SOLVED ALL THEIR PROBLEMS, like wtf? - there are so much drama and suspense that leads nowhere? like he has a soul debt (he only mops around about it and it leads to big ol nothing), but also a soul bond which is illegal (never explained why and has no consequences) - why can't they track Ethan? there are gods on their side! there is literally Hermes, which are messenger god, and such a big missed opportunity for ominous messages from evil dad - the twin thing is pointless and borin - characters are so bland (except their looks obviously, which doesn't matter because it's a book!!!), that I don't care about any of them in conclusion I'm disappointed because this series is so loved and hyped that I was really excited to read it and here we are a week of binging this mess and it didn't give was it was supposed to gave lol Sense ressenyes | afegeix-hi una ressenya

"Death is the last lover you will ever know. SOA Special Agent Patrick Collins has lived a life full of lies, and it has finally caught up with him. There’s no denying his past any longer, not after giving up the truth to save himself from a murder charge. But truth alone can’t set Patrick free, and time is running out to stop the Dominion Sect from turning his father into a god. Jonothon de Vere knows survival isn't a guarantee, but he’s desperate to keep Patrick safe, even as hope slips through his fingers. With the future unknown, Jono will follow Patrick wherever he goes, even to Salem, where a family reunion reveals a bitter secret that was never going to stay buried. With New York City under control of their god pack, Patrick and Jono must fall back on every alliance they've brokered to fill the front lines of a war coming directly to the city streets. The veil is always thinnest on Samhain, and what awaits them on the other side is the stuff of nightmares. For when it tears, all hell will break loose, and the gods will be summoned to face a reckoning the world isn't ready for. The stakes have never been higher, failure has never been so deadly, and the Fates have never been kind to heroes. Patrick knows that better than anyone—because everything has a price, every debt always comes due, and it’s finally time for Patrick to pay his"--Amazon.com.
